The year annexed and effective date reflect this filing date. This feature class includes approved annexations, pending annexations, areas that have entered into a pre-annexation agreement, and areas that are designated as "out," which are not annexed but are surrounded by Sioux Falls city limits. These "out" areas are only included for certain aesthetic and cartographic needs, but are not considered incorporated into Sioux Falls.
